The 10th edition of the SMART2023 ECCOMAS Thematic Conference is set to take place from 3-6 July 2023 at the University of Patras, partner of the MORPHO project.
SMART2023 aims to offer a comprehensive platform for presenting and discussing the current state of the art in the field of smart structures and materials. The conference is an opportunity to develop future ideas on a multidisciplinary level, where researchers and scientists from different fields can exchange their ideas and findings. Moreover, The Smart 2023 conference is will host a Special Session (SS19) on “Embedded life cycle management of smart-multifunctional structures.”
The session will focus on smart structures that integrate multiple functions throughout their entire life cycle, from their manufacturing to their dismantling and through their whole service life. The session will welcome contributions that deal with process monitoring through embedded sensors, innovative approaches to Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) using embedded sensors, and innovative smart-dismantling strategies.
The Special Session promises to be a forum for insightful discussions and the exchange of knowledge on embedded life cycle management of smart-multifunctional structures.
Scientists of international prestige in the field of the conference have confirmed their participation as Plenary Speakers. Their contribution promises to offer valuable insights and facilitate discussions on the latest trends and research in smart structures and materials.
The conference organizers also announced that select papers presented at the conference may be considered for publication in special issues of leading journals. This presents an excellent opportunity for researchers and academics to disseminate their work and contribute to the advancement of the field.
Overall, the SMART2023 ECCOMAS Thematic Conference is a must-attend event for anyone interested in smart structures and materials. The conference offers an exciting opportunity to engage with international experts, gain new knowledge, and share ideas.
